Cathcart Construction Company (CCC) was founded in 1991 by John Cathcart. CCC is a general infrastructure contractor that has been serving Central Florida ever since. Our projects have ranged from $100,000 to $10,000,000. CCC has done over $100,000,000 over hundreds of jobs across Central Florida.
One of the main aspects of CCC is providing a safe workplace. We remain in full compliance with all OSHA standards applicable to our work. Also, we strictly adhere to the specifications provided by our project owners to protect members of the community from injury. Adhering to these specifications helps eliminate any unnecessary damage to surrounding properties and facilities to our job sites.
John Cathcart has a Building Construction BA from the University of Florida and a Finance MBA from the University of Central Florida. With decades of experience, he has been a Certified General Contractor (CGC 051005) since 1993 and a Certified Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor (FL CUC 057230) since 1998. John is responsible for the overall business leadership, strategy, and development at CCC.
David Cathcart is the brother of John and joined Cathcart Construction Company as the CFO in 1997. Boasting over 30 years in finance and accounting, David is a CPA. He has served as a board member, CFO, and CEO of various companies. He earned his BA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from the University of Central Florida.
Matthew Blanton has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has been with CCC since 1997. He started with Cathcart as the Vice President and Operations Manager. His promotion to President was in 2005, where he took over the management of sales, suppliers, subcontractors, and operations at CCC. Matthew obtained his BS in Law Studies/Sociology from Georgia Southern University.
Joseph (Joe) Newton Jr. has been with CCC since 2015 and brings decades of experience with him. He has several certifications, including his SWPPP Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Certification, Confined Space Certification, and Trench Safety Certification. He also excels at installing shoring systems, various types of pipes, and the operation of multiple types of heavy equipment.
Justin Williams has been with Cathcart since 2018. Justin brings with him years of experience since 2002 in underground experience and heavy equipment operation. He has several certifications, including his SWPPP Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Certification, Confined Space Certification, and Trench Safety Certification. He specializes in deep gravity sewers and lift stations.
